Hi folks, we are Wagontown an acoustic trio from the town where they make wagons. We are the remnants of the midweek bluegrass session at the Fox Lane Sports Club 7 years ago. When the sessions disintegrated we decided to keep going as a trio and take it to the masses around the pubs and festivals but not playing 6 minute dirges with no proper starts or endings. We also decided to insert modern tunes into our act along with Irish, pop, country and rock whilst keeping a few standards like Duelling Banjos and the Beverley Hills theme
Check out our varied setlist from Earl Scruggs to Dubliners/Pogues/Beatles/Queen/Green Day/Motorhead/Tom Jones/Oasis/Red Hot Chili Peppers/ The Eagles oh and Human by Killers..lol..all played in the electrifying Acoustic Banjo/ Mandolin style. We dont use backing tracks, or any other tech wizardry, what you see is what you get.

The Hare & Hounds Wardle

Not often I get the pleasure of doing this,
I've known Tel a few years as many of us have and he's been known to have given us a listen In Leyland when he can and tonight it was my pleasure to return the compliment.

Consumate professionals is the least I can say for Wagontown,
A totally at ease performance, refreshing to the eardrums and delivered in a way that leaves nobody In any doubt that these guys know exactly what they're doing. Definitely something different. A trip down memory lane but also contemporary numbers and some classic rock added in their totally unique style which amazed their audience and people were waiting to see what was coming next. A thoroughly enjoyable night I am truly glad to have had and such great guys too. I was really pleased to have met up with the rest of the band and I look forward to seeing you all again as soon as the opportunity arises

Cheers to everyone and thanks for a great night

Wagontown - A big thank you!

Playing the Wellington on Friday in Preston! come and see the NW premier bluegrass band!

These lads played a cracking show at a theme day where I work . I would like to thank Wagontown for a job well done . A re booking is being organised and several of the staff are looking at the idea of having them as a wedding band and others are thinking about booking for their own celebrations (birthdays etc!)

The special needs audience absolutely loved them one or two are still talking about it a week later, music breaks down so many barriers, I see it everyday at work.... needless to say a couple of audience who rarely communicate were certainly communucating that day.... I saw a manager who is hard as nails having to leave for a few minutes to compose herself as a client she has worked with starting mouthing words of a song and raising their arm in time with the music, this was a major breakthrough for us!
A job well done! Thank you Tel and the lads

A big thanks to Wagon town who played last night at Ye olde Fighting Cocks, we combined it with our St Paddies night party, the place was Rocking and not to loud, I have 19 Bedrooms located near to the bar so noise is always an issue, However EVERY guest was down dancing and singing along to them.

Guys you are great value for money and I would recommend you to any pub, club or hotel, quite simply your the best, see you boxing day for a party night, and next year
