Britpop 60s to modern day

Bass and lead guitar and keys wanted.

Hiya everyone, me and my mate who plays drums are looking for like minded people to join us to form a britpop/ britrock tribute band. I am singing and playing guitar, but would be happy to switch around roles/share vocals if the right people come along. I can play bass too.

Our influences are all the usual suspects, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, the Smiths, the jam, Oasis, Blur, the stone roses, Ocean Colour Scene, the Verve, the Stereophonics etc.......

We've already rehearsed a few songs so now on the look out for other members. New song input from new members welcome too.

Don't want to gig too often, a couple of times a month max.

The other thing to mention is that quite a few of the songs are in a different key to the original, hopefully that won't cause too much of a problem.

Age not an issue, but for your info we are 38 and 40. We just want to gig and play good sing along British indie anthems and have a good time!

Male or female.

We're in the bury area

Cheers.

Hi Jim,
Your post caught my eye.
I'm Steve age 61 and play bass and sing. Been in several bands in the past from cabaret to DrFeelgood type r&b.
My son Matt is 25, plays guitar but has never been in a band before.
We are both currently on a mission to start a jam night at the Bridge Inn in Horwich and have the OK from the landlady. This would be every other Sunday evening. What we would like is a drummer and poss another guitar/vocal to form the house band. If we gel as a band we could go out and do a few gigs!
What do you think? Call Steve 07552 196037
