for all newbies

Just a thought, it may have come up before but that's kind of the point of this suggestion Mr NWB.

How about taking classic (and repetitive) blog posts such as charity gigs, rates of pay etc and pinning them to the side?

If a rule could be added that recommends newbies have a scan of the common/classic/repetitive/contentious posts then it might save the 6 week bongo cycle (or at least introduce new topics for everyone to go crazy about!)

That's it really, apologies in advance to any who may take offence to this, feel I've stolen their idea, are sick of hearing it, like the virtual violence, are of a minority group, have issues in general or have woken up in a bad mood.

Terms and conditions apply, your home is at risk if you set fire to it etc.

I agree.. It would also be a good idea to put forthcoming gig promos and "last Shout" in their own section.NWBers can look at the gig guide if they want to know whos on....T

Sheesh, what's with all the rules, already. Does it really matter if some of the blogs plough familiar furrows?

I got an idea - have a quick scan of a blog and if it looks a bit old or dull, stop reading and move on.

Also, I have to say that without an element of reiteration the might community blog thing might get a little slender, shall we say. I mean, it's a forum for Northwestern bar bands, ferchrissakes, how much is there to say?

Half the pleasure comes from logging in and having a look at what's on and coming across the odd gem - I fear too much compartmentalising might work against this.

This all sounds very complex for me. Maybe it's coz i've only been on the site for a couple of weeks, maybe it's the lack of sleep from the midget party last night...

Would have thought something along the lines of "don't worry, it ain't always like this and they actually turn out to be nice people if you give 'em enough time even if they do slate you big style. Oh and don't mention band fees" would have been sufficient...

@Brierfield - thought I hadn't seen you or Thumbtupper on here of late ;-)
