How do I attach a video to a blog?

Please go easy on me, I am after all only a bass player, but I cannot figure out how to attach a video or image to a blog post. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I'm not exactly Bill Gates when it comes to computers.

Really enjoying some of the videos being posted on here and would like to get in on the act, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Love and moisture always,

Mark

Is it on You Tube?

Simply click on the 'share' button underneath it, right click and 'copy' then 'paste into your blog or comment.

Simples!

here goes bud, if its youtube, its pasting the link from the letterbox at the top, or you can get the code from the share section, but similar for most things i guess

@Alyerpal - tried that one but the option to "copy" doesn't appear!! If I click on "share" it just opens a "link to this video" which is only the link and not the video itself.

@Rob - ditto the above Rob really, I can copy and paste the link, but no actual option to copy the video.

Or am I being a stupid twat!!! You really don't need to answer that one honestly!!!

It's the link to this video that you need Mark - right click on the 'http://youtu.be.....' and copy, then paste in here:

Thanks Al, but it's still not having it!! I've clicked on the Address bar to copy but again all it's copying is the link. And if I click on "share" and right click, again all it will copy is the link. If I actually right click on the video itself, I get no option to copy!! WTF!!!!

I fucking hate computers!!

Make sure you LEFT click on 'share', then RIGHT click on the message that comes up.

If you right click on share, you won't get the right address.

Come on, let's do this!!!

Thanks again Al. If I hover the pointer over "share" a little box comes up with "share or embed this video".

If I left click it, it opens another box with "Link to this video" and the link starting with "

". If I then right click that, select copy, then try to paste it, it only pastes that very link and not the video itself.
As in this example below. That's the link but no actual video.

Your diploma is in the post and you are now entitled to put the letters NACW after your name.

I can go to bed feeling the day hasn't been a complete waste!

@Alyerpal - It's me being a dozy twat!!! It's actually worked Al. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And now for the best. For those who think I'm a faceless troll who's brought nothing to the table, I offer this rather old tune that was written in the late 80's and recently rehashed and performed at a gig, when we learnt that our fabulous drummer Les Piszkalo was terminally ill with cancer. Unfortunately, Les passed away 4 months after this gig, but his wish was that Munich reformed after 20 years for a one off performance.

I realise I have opened myself up for huge criticism here and so be it, but hopefully I will not be as faceless anymore.

Many thanks to Alyerpal for the extremely helpful advice.

Many thanks Willow, but Alyerpal had already sorted it.

I really appreciate the time and effort of you both for this. And also to Rob of Black Rose.

Love and moisture always,

Mark

Great days eh Charlie!! Gained more than a few pounds mate!! It's a few stone now!! But yeah, glad I got my Hev. If she was only half as nice as Norma, I'd still be buzzing. Can't make tomorrow Charlie I'm afraid as I'm financially embarrassed, but Nick has asked me to stand in again for Terry on 5th October as he's away on his jollies again. Must be some money in gravedigging eh??!!
