Just watching this programme on iPlayer...thought it may be of interest.

Yeah just watching this, it's top. Peformances from all the seminal acts of the 70's New York Scene...thought some people may be interested.

"Celebrating the cream of the New York rock scene, including classic performances from the Ramones, New York Dolls, Television, Blondie, Lou Reed and more."

Just watching Talking Heads on The Old Grey Whistle Test currently. Let me know if you watch it and like it! Cheers,

Yeah very much before my time, according to wikipedia it ended in 88, 1 year before my birth. Haha. Was the performance on that programme by them mimed? I was thinking so when it was on cos no-one was singing the 'ooooo ooo weee oooo oooo' bits for most of the time...controversial eh?

Some really brill bands came out of that scene. I think that John Cale's "Dying On The Vine" was one of the highlights of the programme actually, not bad for a Welshman. Will have to look up more of his solo stuff, only really know him in relation to his brief stint in The Velvet Underground. Anyway I'm rambling, good to see someone else watched it! Cheers,

Thanks for the link Jack. Brought back some memories. Especially the Ramones, Sonic youth and Talking Heads...

No problem. Not many people on here seem to share this enthusiasm it seems...or maybe they just couldn't be bothered to watch it. Yeah that Talking Heads performance of "Pyscho Killer" is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
