Yes, yes and yes! Mine have saved my guitars too many times. Rather spend a tenner than for out £300+ on a repair or new guitar!

Yes always wont go on stage without them and they have to be the good quality metal ones not the red rubber band like thing some people have just not enough to keep my mind at ease.

Although on my old strat I have Grolsch Top rubber bungs holding the strap on and I cannot get that strap off!!! They Are Belting!!!

just beware of using "Schaller type" strap locks - i had some that slipped off!! Slightly different width I guess!! Luckily caught it otherwise disaster!!
(No probs with the genuine ones - just the copies)
